Water weight: A rant.

There were times where I was happy I gain water weight so easily. Mainly, when I caught myself a few lbs heavier, cut back and went back to my maintenance weight.

Now, I have a severe love/hate with this weight.

Backstory - all was well at my maintenance/losing a little extra couldn't hurt status for a good 2 years. Then, I started a relationship and very stereotypically, the pounds came on. So fast that I'm 50lbs heavier than I was a year ago, and have been here for 6 months.

Now, I'm back on board. Lost 8lbs - great! Then, I went on vacation. Stayed without my calories for my actual weight and came back, gained 2. Had sushi, sake and the dreaded sodium filled miso soup - up 3 more pounds.

In short, when I drink and/or have extra sodium - the pounds pack on. If I don't stop the cycle, they continue.

So, of course the silver lining is, I know my body and my culprits. Just a little vent with these 5 extra pounds before I get back on track.
