For those who are curious it was this one:
http://www.myrecipes.com/recipe/chickpea-spinach-curry

So to enter it in the data base, I went to the recipes tab, added each ingredient (weighed of course) I'll be eating it over the next few days, so I put serving size as one. I weighed the whole thing when it was done and it came to 954 grams for 613 calories. So when I want some, I would weigh out my portion and then divide it to find the percentage of the whole?

For example, if I want one fourth of it, 238.5 grams for dinner, I would do 238.5/954 which is .25. Then I go to my recipes when I log it and put in the decimal .25 out of the serving size (which in my case was the whole batch). Is this correct? Or am I missing something?

Also when I add a recipe, is there a way to not weight it all out after its cooked to be able to determine it's size? Is it just the addition of all the grams of all the items in it? Or are cooked weights different?

Thanks!

To be the most accurate about servings, the way you did it is best - weighing the whole thing then weighing portions to figure out how much of the whole recipe they are. You could also measure out how many cups (or fluid ounces or ml) there are in total and then figure out how many servings based on a liquid measurement. So say the whole thing is 8 cups, a serving that's a quarter of the whole would be 2 cups.

And yes, 0.25 serving would be correct for a quarter as you've entered it as 1 serving for the whole recipe.
