How much calories could I possibly be burning with breastfeeding and when will I notice weight loss results?

If you're exclusively breastfeeding, it generally takes about 500 calories a day. It's something like 20 calories per ounce, I believe, but it's hard to gauge exactly how much you're producing
As far as results, it's going to depend on a lot of different things. But I wouldn't try for more than a pound a week loss, even with eating back those breastfeeding calories (there's an entry in the food database for it, to offset the calories). Depending on how old your baby is, take it slow with both calorie restriction and exercise. It's far more important to provide proper nutrition for baby without burning yourself out than to get back into your pre-pregnancy clothes right away. Some women have a much harder time losing while they breastfeed, and when they wean it comes off easily, too.0
