    It sounds like it probably applies much more broadly to shift work and anything else that disturbs circadian rhythms significantly.

    Lord knows my gut is always a wreck when I fly overseas. And, yes, the scale ALWAYS goes up a few pounds when I fly. We even jokingly call it "airplane weight". But for me that part is always temporary. But then I only fly overseas a few times a year.

    Same. I attribute it to constipation and bloating from being on the plane. I don't think it's actually fat gain.

    Mines usually the opposite of constipation. But ONLY when I fly. And still the scale goes up. I think it's water retention.
