Need new Heart Rate Monitor

I need help in choosing a new HRM. I have been using the Polar FT7 for the past two years and have liked it. I know people disagree about their reliability in calorie counting when it comes to doing anything except cardio, BUT it has helped me gauge how much to eat and I have lost weight using it. I lift heavy weights 4x per week and do HIIT and endurance cardio. I do not run because of a partial knee replacement but I do "run" on the elliptical and ARC. Would the FitBit One be good for me or another Polar type HRM?

I have a brand in the box new soleus flash I can sell you for under msrp. I just don't use it, I have a garmin with a heart rate monitor which i don't even look at my calories burned anymore. so i might not even wear the chest strap anymore.0

Both will only estimate calories burned based on some basic stats and a bunch of assumptions programmed into the logic of the device. Neither is guaranteed to be more accurate than the other.
That said, if you've had success using the polar, then I'd stick with it.0 -
I think you are right jacksonpt! Thinking I will get another Polar!0
