Yes, protein, creatine, fish oil, glutamine, and a fiber supplement.0

Protein because I don't get enough from food sources.
Fish oil & Vitamin D because even though I'm running outdoors 50 miles a week I still have a deficiency.
Magnesium for migraines. I don't care if it's a placebo effect, it keeps me off Imitrex.

The few supplements I take are based purely on difficulty obtaining certain things from diet alone:
- Calcium (milk allergy)
- Vitamin D (not enough exposure to sunlight)
- Iron (anaemic, and have trouble absorbing iron)
- B12
I do use a protein powder, mostly as something I can have as a quick breakfast on super busy mornings.0 -
Sam - yeah, ECA, I'm not sure what ECAAs are... eccentric chain aminos?
They wear berets and talk about the bourgies?0 -
90% of supplements out on the market aren't needed. While they may assist the elite athlete who may need a higher dosage from vitamins & minerals, the average person who just works out is more than likely just wasting their money on them.

I take a coQ10 supplement because I am on a statin and will have incredible muscle pain when not taking the coQ10. Unfortunately need to be on a statin due to genetics. Sadly exercise, diet change and weigh loss didn't help my cholesterol readings.0

I used to use a pre-workout supplement and then it was taken off the market because people were taking huge doses and were getting sick. I never used a "magical" fat burning wonder pill. I think a general convo about this could be good.
Best supplements are the ones you make yourself. Look up Hard Rhino. They sell raw materials. I would suggest raw caffeine 300mgs, synephrine 30mgs, taurine 400mgs, aakg 400mgs and dmae 100mgs. Put in a mixing cup and use Hawaiian punch single packets. Tastes great, sugar free, better then 90% of stuff you can buy and most importantly your not taking 20+ ingredients you will likely have side effects from. I buy stuff by the kg and it lasts years. About .25 cents a serving if that.

No supplements here. I don't like throwing money away.0

I have been able to achieve excellent results with no supplements other than protein powder. Hard work and good eating habits will get you alot further than any supplement will help. You cna get many things in your food, protein amino acids, creatine. I find the best is to start with nothing then see if adding something is actually helpful for you. For me glutamine does aide with post workout soreness and recovery.0
