HIIT frequency per week

I like doing HIIT workouts. I got tired of steady cardio workouts. So now on a treadmill, I alternate sprints with fast walking. I do this for 45 minutes to 1 hour. I've read that it's not good to do HIIT daily, so I have a rest day in between the workouts. I'm wondering if I should have two rest days or should I go by how I feel? I feel fine after one rest day. I also lift weights 3x week sometimes on the same days I do HIIT.

How long are you doing the fast walking for? It sounds like you're doing interval training to me, not HIIT.

If i'm doing HIIT on the treadmill i would only do it for maximum of 15 minutes. I also only really do it once or twice a week. The reason people do HIIT is so that they don't have to spend like an hour on a treadmill. It all really depends on your goals though. I wouldn't do it everyday as your not giving your body time to recover. Hope this helps

If you are able to do HIIT for that long, then you aren't really doing HIIT

Nobody here knows your fitness level. If you have to ask, odds are you're doing too much and or shouldn't be self regulating your training regimen (IOW, follow a program... yes.. one program.. not three).
