Hi all
just wanted some advice on trying to stick to this without failing. I tend to be really good through the week and then come frid evening Sat and Sun fall off the rails...I dont seem to log on the weekends and eat and drink so my calorie intake is over..any tips on what you do to make this work?
thanks

I log all weekend, even if my food choices aren't as healthy as the ones I make during the week I still log it to hold myself accountable and I would think if you saw that you were close to your calorie goal for the day it might deter you from that next treat you aren't really hungry for but just want. I even log my alcohol intake (on the rare occaision that I drink) and the homemade truffles I made for my girls night on Friday.0

I'd suggest to commit to logging over the weekend. Allow one day to be a "cheat" day, but make sure you stay at maintenance calories (not sure how big your deficit normally is, but figure out what your maintenance level is) for the cheat day, not over maintenance.
That pattern will allow you to "indulge" while not really hurting any losses.0 -
If you have a hard time doing it for yourself, try thinking about it being important for your friends and family. They want you to be healthy and life a long life. Do it for the ones you love.0

In the last 50 plus days of being on MFP. Today is the only day I really didn't log. And I feel out of sorts. So I know that I won't let that happen again or at least not any time soon.0

At the very least be aware what you are sticking in your mouth. Look at the labels so you make yourself aware of how much 1 serving is of what you are eating and try to abide by that. I didn't always log my foods either but I made sure to look at the nutritional information and try to keep myself to only one serving. It helps to just be aware what you are eating. Once you keep an eye on that it gets easier. At least that's how it was for me. Good luck!0
