On a scale of 1-10, rate your passion, 10 being the highest best.

I have to say a 9.

...If you can be more specific about what the passion would be regarding, it would make this thread easier to respond to.

I don't know that I have a passion for "fitness" per se. Love to swim and yeah that's a fitness thing, but it's a sensual delight. So are freeweights. (Stop looking at me like that. When I've got my tunes blasting and feel the bar across my shoulders, it plain feels GOOD).

In that moment and in that second, I'm not thinking about what it's doing for my health and body. It's like dancing -- just the pure animal joy of the power of the movement.

I don't run because it makes me hurt and feel awful, but I would think that if it did feel good, just the forward movement and the light feeling of flying (if that's what a runner feels; I wouldn't know) would probably be pretty much in that same category.

So, my passion for working out depends on what I'm doing. I wouldn't say it's necessarily a route to my real life goals and passions, though. I mean, you could rules lawyer it, but time in the gym isn't time spent designing a sweater, or writing a novel, or earning money to travel - my real passions.

I have a passion for being healthy and playing sports. I don't have a passion for eating healthy. My passion for tasty treats is a 10/10, my passion for being athletic is a 10/10, my passion for vegetables is a 0/10 would not bang.
  • I'd have to say a 9. I talk so much about fitness that my friends constantly agitate me about calories and i'm always the "personal trainer" at my school whenever someone needs advice.

Okay, in that case..I would say mine is a 10 for nutrition. 7 for fitness. It is one of my top priorities, and I have since planned to enroll in a personal training certification course and nutrition certification as well. It is also something that needs to be apart of my life until I am dead.
  • Proud of youse guys as northerners would say it. I lost my passion tonight at Red Lobster celebrating my wife's 79th. That choc. cake and ice cream did me in.
