Not a damn thing... $17 for a fricking SALAD??? Ridiculous!
Yes, but the key is winning back what you spent on dinner in the casino!

I would go salmon or steak, depending what I was in the mood for...but, if I was on vacation, I would just eat whatever sounded good and workout when vacation was over :)

*COWBOY PRIME TOP SIRLOIN STEAK USDA PRIME 10 OZ. TOP SIRLOIN - just grilled with dry seasoning - sauce on the side with bake potato and veggies or salmon with veggies and fruit.

chicken caeser salad - no croutons, no dressing - lemon wedges on the side.

This makes me sad! Why even go out!

I would get whatever I wanted and adjust the rest of my day around it!

    Fajitas because...I love fajitas. I have a similar goal (2600-2700 cals/day).

Might as well just order an empty plate then.

Personally I would have the Stays in Mexico Quesadilla and a Cesar salad without the blue cheese and croutons myself. Mostly because I like quesadilla's, especially the chicken ones.

tortilla soup or the chili, minus any sour cream they are trying to put on there. fajitas are probably not too high in calories but the thing to watch here is likely portion size. The chili would probably be enough for me. These kind of restaurants are also salt bombs so drink a lot of water or unsweetened ice tea. The drinks on the menu all look like 500+ calories of sugar so if you want to drink get liquor+seltzer with lemon or something. Although you get free drinks like that at casinos so why pay for it there?

Also, this restaurant seems really expensive for what it is! Vegas has some really great restaurants. I would get sushi, or thai food at Lotus of Siam. This looks like a glorified applebees/fridays/chilis type place where you are paying more because it's branded some famous singer. meh.

*cue angel choir singing* Lotus of Siam.....mmmm...

So, personally I would get steak or fajitas - I hardly ever eat fried food and the last thing I want on a Vegas trip is monster heartburn.

If I was in Vegas I wouldn't care and get back on track when I got home. But if I was there I would choose all the beers listed.

@ hortensehildegarde take a cab to Lotus of Siam--it is worth it! Really amazing. You need reservations on the weekend, it gets packed, and some weeknights too. If you want to go with people, maybe post on chowhound or something and see if anyone wants to join you? Or if you're going to Vegas for an event, maybe some people from that would want to go? More people means you can try more but honestly...just for a bowl of tom ga kai and catfish salad, I'd go =]

I am practicing how to order when eating out but finding it challenging for places that have zero nutritional info since preparation can make such a difference in calories. What would you pick off this menu and why? Assume your total calorie goal for the day is 2500-3000 calories.

I just need some food for thought.

I would order the chicken and dumplings and the ribs and wings. Man.
