Finding Friends on myfitnesspal

I have several friends who use myfitness pal and I want to send them an invite to connect, but I don't know their e-mail addresses. The app does not seem to work when I try to filter people by location (within 10 miles from my zip code).......nothing comes up. There has got to be a better way to find friends on this application. what am I missing????

    You aren't missing anything. The MFP app just isn't very good at 'friends' or 'social.'

    I would think they would tell you their usernames if they want to connect. Ask them.
