I have read a long time ago that reducing sugar reduces cramps. Had never tried it out. But needed ibuprofen every time, at least the first day. Sometimes ovulation was even worse.
This time, and I have been reducing sugar to less than mfp told me, NO pain. If I had not seen it in time, I would have missed to be prepared!
It is definitely worth reducing sugar for me. This is awesome!

Anyone else notice this?

    Excellent! I've heard many times that reducing refined carbs helps with PMS.

    Great NSV! I eat low-ish carbs/sugars and avoid cramps. Thinking back every time that I indulge in a carb-y, sugar-y sweet treat during or right before my period I get awful cramps. Interestingly enough, I've gone even more aggressive on my carbs/sugars, I'm doing LCHF (keto), right now, and my regular period has stopped. I don't know if it's connected to my weight-loss or eating low-carb/no sugar. I'm going to check with my doc about that.
