I know there are several types out there. But which one do you recommend is the most accurate one? What do you think of the one by www.health-calc.com?

Seems a little on the high side.

    it gave me:

    BMR: 1672
    TDEE: 2904

based on my own intake vs weight loss (time frame used was 9/11-10/11)
    TDEE is roughly: 2345

    Scooby's Workshop-
    http://scoobysworkshop.com/accurate-calorie-calculator/
    TDEE estimated: 2392
    BMR estimated: 1543

Ultimate Weight loss Calculator (created by MFP user)-
    http://www.weightloss-calculator.net/
    TDEE estimated: 2498
    BMR estimated: 1611

    Fitness Frog-
    http://www.fitnessfrog.com/calculators/tdee-calculator.html
    TDEE estimated: 2484
    BMR estimated: 1603

    Fat2Fit-
    http://www.fat2fittools.com/tools/bmr/
    TDEE estimated: 2499
    BMR estimated: 1612

    IIFYM-
    http://iifym.com/tdee-calculator/
    TDEE estimated: 2379
    BMR estimated: 1535

For me, the closest was from IIFYM.com followed closely by Scooby's Workshop.

I do not personally recommend drop-down calculators. For instance, IIFYM calculator estimates way too low for me. Just recalculated on there. It gives me 1800 as a TDEE... I NET almost 1900, so eating ~2000+ when I exercise.

I personally recommend the 2 links on my profile, and the only drop-down I do recommend is scooby's (although plenty use the same algorithm, so if you find one with a nicer interface using the same formula then it will be the same).

Btw, I personalyl use health-calc.com or exrx.net, but prefer the former. You need to remember that these two require averages. So if you work out 5x a week 30 minutes each day, that is 21 minutes 7x a week on average. Or you can calculate an average rest day and then an average workout day, average both of those out, and then subtract 20% (or 10-15 if you don't have much to lose).

Thanks so much ana3067. That clears up many things for me. I found Health-calc to be lil too high and iifym to be too low. I think I'll personally go with Scooby and add 50 to TDEE. (Scooby gave me 1850. I'll add 50 to it giving me 1900)

I tried the health calc one ...Yah it's high.

I use a formula and my TDEE is about 2200 on average...

    IIFYM comes the closest.

Thank U sexystef. One thing I find with IIFYM though is that it doesn't really take into consideration the intensity of my daily exercise. (mostly everyday, 1 hour strenuous HIIT, average heart rate 150 or over for 40 minutes or over plus weight lifting 3 times a week). Having said that I have had no luck in losing weight by sticking with health-calc. I have only maintained my weight by following the TDEE provided by health-calc.
