I have to admit that I did something stupid. I succumbed to some ads, got desperate and fell into the diet pills trap. After about a year of off and on using them I finally realized that they did me no good. Believe me I tried everything, phentermine, HCG (at $400 a month 2x) and was scared to be off of anything. I'm coming clean and being honest. It's the best way for me to surrender myself and admit that I need help. My weight has always been a struggle for me and I have been at extremes from a size 4 to a size 22. My second son will be 4 yrs old now and I can't blame it on baby weight either. The last month I've been depressed, sluggish (coming off the pills) and felt really bad about myself. Then after a lot of prayers on bended knees something inside me clicked and I had a glimpse of hope in myself. A little bit of faith that God would help me in this struggle and I'm not alone. Today I joined a workweek challenge and I'm looking forward to becoming healthy again. Writing this is making me feel better and I hope that I can make some good friends out there that don't judge me for being honest but can relate. Life is good and little by little I am starting to love myself once again. I am no longer the pity party I once was and it was until I gave up all power and admitted I needed help from God, my family, and my friends. God bless everyone as we go through this journey of self exploration (Because we all know it's not just about the weight!!!). If no one else is there for you, I will pay it forward and be there for you too.

I've been right there with ya. There is nothing better than finally feeling that little glimmer of faith in yourself though. Good job owning what you've been through and the choices you've made. I've learned that having a support system makes all the difference. ((hugs))

Good for you. "Ownership" is a big part of getting past things in our lives that make us unhappy. Life IS good, but it can also be a very fine line between being hard enough on yourself to make a change, but easy enough on yourself to stay positive and move forward. Tricky stuff, but very rewarding when you find the balance.0

I just wanted to say God bless you! You can do this! Realizing what didn't work for you is just as important as finding out what does. You have behind you what didn't. You know what's in the past, and it's over. You're ready to start fresh. You have your faith in God, in yourself, and support from your family to make a fresh start! I wish you all the best as you begin this new journey! Every day is a new, fresh day to get it right, and with a great, positive attitude, you CAN do anything!0
