Ready for the challenge!

Hello! I am an 18 y/o girl(Woman? Idk :/) who is getting ready to lose some weight. All of my weight loss has been from loss in appetite from the flu(not good) so I want to make a change. Weight loss isn't some type of way to build confidence or look like the girls in the magazines(they don't even look like that half the time), for me at lease. I just want to live a healthy lifestyle, lose a little and tone up. My family has had a history of health problems that are caused by their weight so I want to start good habits and self control now before its a big problem later.
I join myfitnesspal to help me control and record my weight and calories and also find people who I can relate to and even a weight loss buddy :). I hope I can find a group or even one person so we can motivate one another, and I also hope everyone can meet their goal with the help this website.

    Welcome, I am glad you are doing it for you and not just to build confidence or look like a magazine. I'm Steve by the way. I know what it's like. I have lost over a 100 pounds since January. If you are serious, send me a message. If it weren't for my wife and amazing support group I wouldn't be where I am today.
