Digital scale to regular scale?

Hey everyone!
I've always had the regular scale in the bathroom growing up and I would weight myself as an adult. Well now me being an adult I notice that no one has them anymore. My roommates have a digital one and I am not too fond of it. I found that the three times that I have used it, I had to use it three different times to get a weight. For some reason all the weights were different. The one that I did just before this posting I must have lost a pound being on the scale for 30 seconds. I am wondering is one scale better than the others? I am just wondering before I go out and get a regular scale. I digital scale for food is another thread.
