need exercise app (android) that calculates your speed

Hope the topic line makes sense - looking for an APP that will tell you to walk faster or jog now because it is able to calculate that you are going too slowly.

Or is there some other kind of tool (speedometer type) that can do this?basically, when i walk outside (not in the gym) i tend to slow down because i don't have any external or internal "device" telling me that I'm going too slowly. At the gym, I work out on a tread mill and cross trainer and those have numbers and charts

Any advice?

Have you looked? There are a bunch that will give you your current/average speed.

It doesn't really tell you "go faster" but I love mapmyrun so so much, I think they have it for all phone types, it's great though for giving distance and pace and I think the paid version (pretty cheap) has coaching features and it gives you a nice map of your workout and your overall time and pace and splits and calories burned based on your weight ect.

check out zombies, run or the zombies, run 5K apps. it's based around receiving instructions from a basecamp that's keeping you away from zombies . i find he "runner 5, you have a fast moving zom 50 meters behind you, speed up to avoid them" to be really moivating

i think that's pretty much all of the apps. if you go into settings on most of them, you can turn on the audio markers. so every half mile, it will say your elapsed time and average speed. i usually use that as my kick in the *kitten* to speed things up
