Gym Cardio Equipment

I was wondering what is more accurate when it comes to calories lost. Gym cardio equipment or MFP?
For example 30 mins on the elliptical said I burned 200 calories but MFP said I burned 500+. What should I log for my cardio diary?

    definitely not 500. most likely closer to 200

    Go with the machine, definitely, especially if it had you punch in your age/weight info.
