Kefir calories and weight loss

Hi everyone, I am trying to lose some weight, at the same time I'll like to get probiotics and have been making my own milk and water kefir. It is hard to know exactly how many calories are in there and nutritional level. If I have one cup of whole milk kefir and one to two cups of water kefir everyday, is that just adding extra calories?
Should I make my kefir in skim milk to cut calories?
Should I skip water kefir altogether if I want to lose weight?
