Just read the Lydiard training plan for marathons (way not there yet) and it refers to lacing your running shoes "The Lydiard Way" which apparently is also called "Straight bar lacing" and is supposed to relieve pressure to the top of the foot.

That has been one of my problems with the shoes i have been wearing, and i just re-laced them and will try them on a run later on. feels funny, but i can tell there is a difference.
Any of you lace your shoes straight?
