Does anyone use the old 8" step exerciser to burn calories at home?

I am looking for ideas to burn calories at home during the winter as a replacement for outdoor activities. Does anyone use the old step platform anymore? Does it work for you? Seems like an easy inexpensive way to get some help in the house. I had one years ago. I think I gave it to a friend because I wasn't too serious about exercise

While you can exercise at home, when my DD was still 3 months old and I couldn't go to the gym, I just walked in the mall daily for 45 minutes.
Just realize that weight loss is more about calorie deficit than it is about exercise. If you're exercising to improve your health and fitness, that's good, but for weight loss it isn't a necessity.

I still have my step with risers from 1990 something. It's in the garage because I never use it and I can't seem to get rid of it. I don't see why you couldn't get yours out and get to stepping! Find an old Cathe DVD. LOL0

I still have my Reebok Step. I don't use it anymore but it worked then and it would work now! Another good tool for at home is a jumprope. You could do intervals mixed in with lunges, squats, push ups, etc. Exercise bands are also great.0

If you have Amazon Prime there is a step workout that I have streamed before. The outfits are totally 80's, they don't really speak (you just follow the motions), but I worked up a sweat and laughed at the same time!0
