STRESS

Hello All!! I am very happy to say that I am 29 days in and down 10 lbs! I am very grateful for all the support I have found here, not to mention all the great supportive friends I have met through this site.
My downfall is always stress. When I feel sad or stressed out, I eat to comfort myself. Nothing is more comforting to me than a nice warm bowl of pasta with garlic toast, or gooey, cheesy pizza, or cookies and milk, or cupcakes, you get it. "Comfort food"
Last night I felt stressed and instead of staying in the house and thinking about eating, I forced myself to go to the mall. I packed up my baby and strolled him around the mall for an hour and surprisingly my stress melted away and when I went home the urge to binge was gone. In that hour at the mall, I went to Sephora and tried on a couple different make-up items, got a couple samples of face masks and bought some face wash. Went to JcPenney's and used my $10 off coupon on a cute new onesie for baby. Last I stopped in Victoria's Secret and got a new make-up bag. It made me feel so much better and I forgot what I was even stressed about by the time we left the mall.
I can't go to the mall every single time I am stressed. (sometimes the mall is closed! haha) So my question to you all is, what do you do to relieve stress and get your mind off binge eating?? What has worked for you?

I am a big emotional eater too, so I know exactly how you feel. Through my journey, I learned to take my stress out in more productive ways. My favorite way to de-stress is to lift heavy. By the time I leave the gym I am exhausted and I feel like a bad *kitten*. LOL. Going for a run at the local park is another good stress reliever for me. Good job on making excellent choices0
