Why I weigh and chart it daily

I love the ritual of weighing daily, charting it, keeping fastidious records.
It's how I roll. It doesn't mess with my head, I find it fun, and I take "bad" numbers in my stride - look at the weekly average, or something... I also use a weight tracker app other than MFP for that purpose; in it I track every gain or loss or steady weight - on MFP I only put in when I lose or gain, I don't bother entering if I'm steady, but the chart options on the specialised Weight Tracking apps are better than MFP (imho)1 -
I weigh everyday, use happy scale. Mainly because it breaks down your total loss into 10 segments, I've already achieved 3 and half way to number 4. So it's smaller more regular goals which I find motivate me more1

This can be done now? How? I stopped recording daily on here because I got tired of the hoots from my friends when I was just "reclaiming" pounds.
Navigate to:
My Home >> Settings >> Automatic News Feed Update Settings
...or just click here =>> http://www.myfitnesspal.com/account/news_feed_settings
Clear check mark from "I have lost weight"
On the days that you want it to appear on your News Feed, remember to go back into the Settings and check mark "I have lost weight," then add your new weight, then go back to Settings and clear the check mark again.
Yea, it's a pain, but the only work-around I know about.

Thanks! That's why I stopped logging daily on here.0

I weigh every morning and log it every morning before I do anything else. I am aware of weight fluctuations happening but for me, it either motivates me to do better or it excites me when I have done well. A lot of people don't agree with weighing every day but I need to have a way to hold myself accountable and to be honest with myself and this does it for me. I use the weight chart on here and while my weight has had it's ups and downs, the overall graph is a steady down hill line that I love seeing.0

Excel. Track your weight, make a chart and then do a moving average trend line.

Daily weigher here!
I enter daily weights into a spreadsheet and then take a weekly average. That's what I use for the "what I weigh now" weight.0 -
I weigh every day, but I only log the losses, so MFP shows no fluctuations - only the downward movements. That way when my friends congratulate the losses they're always real losses. Even though I don't log the upward moves they're still good reminders to step up my exercise and watch my calories more closely in order to get to the next reporting of a loss.0

same here... the uptick drives me crazy.. but I like to see the trend over time... Im a numbers geek at heart and I think only seeing one number a week on a graph or scale would drive me bonkers... versus I like to only record on mfp once a week but keep a daily tracker on a phone ap.0

These last 6 weeks would REALLY bother me:
if I couldn't look back to April when this happened:
or last January...
or BEST of all, the last 21 months!
I know it doesn't work for everyone but it sure does for me! Just sayin'
I am going to have to check out Libra. The mfp graph is buggy. Thanks for posting this.0
