Why would you be lacking protein if you're gluten free?

Well, this is easy. Protein has no gluten. Eat meat and eggs.

I've the same problem - and I'm not on a special eating plan. Looking forward to having boiled eggs tomorrow.

Greek yogurt (23g per 1 cup serving) and skinless chicken breasts (something like 25-30g protein per 4oz raw weight) are my go-to protein foods.

I'm assuming that your "special eating plan" involves more than just avoiding gluten/wheat or you would not have listed it separately, and this would not be a question. It will be difficult to answer until you reveal what your special eating plan involves and why. Otherwise you're going to get a lot of basic, common-sense answers involving meat, poultry and seafood, eggs and dairy, etc.

Ah...I see what you're asking. I misunderstood...thought you were somehow figuring it was difficult to get protein if you couldn't have gluten.

Scrambled eggs with cheese. Ground turkey with salsa and light sour cream on top. Grilled tilapia or tuna steaks.

Hmmm I'm gluten free and dairy free. Being gluten free doesn't make getting protein difficult, but the dairy free part sometimes makes it a challenge.

I rely on eggs, nut butters and meat (usually poultry and fish). Twice per week we have meatless days, and there I have to be more creative to get in protein. I haven't mastered it yet. But I try to incorporate chia seeds and beans and nuts. I find that meatless days are way too high in carbs though and am considering using protein powders to help.
