Does anyone have a probiotic that they recommend? Or food/drink that I can add to my daily diet that could have the same effect? Thanks

The main source of my daily probiotics is shakeology. But for a great food with probiotics in it would be greek yogurt.

Anything with a high dosage of acidophilus would be good, in my opinion. I find that it's the only type of probiotic that has helped to keep my skin clear (you get acne when your internal system and digestion aren't functioning well) and my BMs regular.

Probiotics are just a profit making venture based on selected suggestive studies. The general population does just fine without them. Can it help with diarrhea? Sure, but like most supplements, they aren't really needed. A lot of what they apparently achieve in health is exaggerated.

I eat yogurt and drink kefir and kombucha, but I also take Garden of Life RAW probiotics, and I use their protein powder which also has probiotics, plus some chocolate superfood by Amazing Grass which has probiotics, and I eat a lot of pickled vegetables. If you like sauerkraut or kimchee, those are both good sources. I like to cover my bases.

Keep in mind that you don't have to invest a lot of money in a fancy one like mine...even those little pearl things from the drug store can have some benefit, and food sources are better than supplements anyway. But I do think it's an important thing to think about, as studies are proving more and more that your gut flora is vital for a number of things, including immune system health and even weight management.

This is the correct answer. Unless you have recently been taking broad-spectrum antibiotics, probiotics are a complete waste of money.

I guess I agree that they aren't needed, in terms of taking extra in every day life...but, when dealing with certain kinds of bacteria infection, I would say that taking extra probiotics helps to clear it up. No?

    No.

So I shouldn't worry about taking probiotics while on antibiotics to help prevent yeast infection?
