Just saying hello

Hi, everyone. I'd just like to introduce myself. I was part of MyFitnessPal a few years back, but only for a short time. I am not working with a nutritionist/dietitian who recommended I try this site for and easier way to count calories, fat, carbs and protein. Before, I started here consistently over the last four days, I was doing all the counting by reading food labels and manual calculations.
I have lost large amounts of weight three times in my life and smaller amounts more times that I can count. Like many, I gained weight back. My last weight loss started nine years ago. It took me three years, but I lost a large amount of weight using Weight Watchers points, even though I couldn't go to the meetings. I gained a lot back when my knees got extremely bad. I still haven't gained it all back but I can't walk without a walker now.
I'm now hoping to be able to lose enough to get my knees replaced. I'm too heavy to get them replaced now. The rehab would be too difficult and there would be added strain on the new joints. I'm just hoping I can lose enough in enough time that I won't be in a wheelchair. I'm trying to be positive and remember that 15 years ago I was still 130 pounds heavier than I am right now.
