calorie intake?

how many calories do I need to loose weight?
1-2 pounds a weak and how can I find this information out?
I am 5'5" woman 58 yrs old & moderately active.
I work out daily about 10-15 minutes a day.

    Your starting calories aren't super important. Every calculator or equation is just going to give you an estimate anyways. Just pick a reasonable calorie goal, anything really. Eat that many calories consistently for a few weeks. If you lose weight at the speed you want, don't change anything. If you lose weight slower then you want, reduce your calorie goal a little bit and give it a few more weeks. Eventually you will figure out exactly how much you need to be eating.

    Yes it did tell me how many calories I need in order to loose weight. It seems too many calories.I will do just that. I will do the calories they advised me on for a few weeks and then adjust from there. Good advice thanks.

    An excellent plan. :)

    When you exercise and it gives you extra calories for that, cut that extra calories number in half and eat back that many more.
