Hey, i'm still new here so im not sure if this is right place to post, but i need to get serious in losing weight. I'm 6'4 and 295 lbs. My diet isn't too bad (not much junk) but alot of fizzy drinks and snacks (alot of pringles lol) and i totally need to stop, however, i have no idea how to set up a diet plan. Like how many calories am i supposed to eat? What are good snacks to eat to fill me up?
Thanks
Thanks

I would be glad to help you get set up. Lets start out with 2000 calories and go from there0

Real food with high nutritional value. Stay at your calorie goal. I eat lean meat (grilled chicken, roasted pork tenderloin, lean sirloin), lots of fruit and veg, smaller amounts of dairy and whole grains. If you open my fridge, you will generally find boiled eggs, string cheese, yogurt, steamed veggies portioned out for the week, cubed cantaloupe. My big rule for myself is to eat food that I personally find delicious and never allow myself to feel hungry or deprived. I also eat a small bit of dark chocolate nearly every day.

Diet plan = track your calories and eat below your maintenance needs. Doesn't matter where the calories come from for weight loss; monitoring macros helps for body composition, being aware of eating a good variety of food helps to reach micro needs.
Eat as much as possible, eat what you enjoy eating, and just monitor your intake as needed.0 -

For a man, especially a man of his weight, this is far too low. I NET 1900. I'm 166lbs.
Sorry, he's 18. So for someone still quite young, he needs way more than 2000 calories. 3000 or more might be a good place to start, assuming 8hrs sleep and an hour of walking around every day. Then after a month, if he isn't losing at least 4lbs in that entire month, he can lower to 2900 and monitor.
And this is a NEAT estimate, meaning I have not included exercise into it. If he does exercise, then he either needs to calculate TDEE to include exercise in his daily average intake needs, or needs to log and eat back exercise cals. Either scenario grosses him far above 2000 cals.0 -
