Block of exercise vs throughout the day cadence?

This may be a foolish question but in which example are you getting a better work out in terms of building muscle and strength. Or are you getting the same level exercise?
200 sit ups in one hour.
-OR-
200 sit ups throughout the day in sets of 30.

Building muscle requires a calorie surplus and progress overload resistance. Building strength requires progressive overload.
Above is neither. Both are forms of muscular endurance.

Sorry, I should've made it clear that the sit ups were just an example. I'm mainly referring to the schedule itself.
Same example but pretend I said doing bicep curls with a dumbbell weight which you can hardly do 10 reps with.0 -
I have a question. Is this hypothetical or a real issue?
I would think the most important thing would be which is easier for you to find. An hour of free time or times throughout the day that you can use to workout?
This is the first thing that came up on google saying they are similar

I know for me when I switch to doing a small circuit of exercises I get a little out of breath. Maybe you would miss out on a little of the cardio from the continuous exercise0 -
If you want to get strong and build muscle, then do want strong people who built muscle do...lift heavy. You won't be able to go for more than an hour a few times per week if each rep is heavy and intense. You could spread the individual reps out throughout the day, but what's the point?0
