Sweet pizza dough-consistency bread?

Anyone know of any recipes? I love pizza dough (crust) and the texture, could i just add extra sugar to a dough recipe and make rolls from it? I also like puff-puff for those who are familiar, but I don't want to fry it.

I've been using the two ingredient pizza dough recipe lately. Mix equal parts Greek yogurt and self rising flour. I've added a couple packets splenda to kick the sourness you get from the yogurt. I used it to make cinnamon rolls and added brown sugar into the dough :)

I make my own pizza crust, and make a desert pizza from it.

On one, I mixed cinnamon, sugar and butter like for cinnamon rolls, then baked it and topped with powder sugar glaze. Another one I mixed 2 tbs sugar in the dough and topped with a thin layer of nutella.

I want to try one with pudding, like the one I've had at the cici's pizza place.

I'm not sure how sugar would go in a pizza dough...but I'm sure you can find some sweet bread dough recipes online!
  • Thanks! I think I might just modify a pizza dough recipe by adding extra sugar, then baking it into rolls. Or, I might play with a baked churro recipe.

This is my recipe, and it's fairly sweet (you could easily add even more sugar).

    Calzone/Pizza Dough (Homemade, 6 ounces)
    Servings 4
    calories per serving
    335

1.00 cup (whole), White Whole Wheat Flour
    2.00 tsp, Garlic - Raw
2.00 tbsp, Extra Virgin Olive Oil
    6.00 tsp = 4 gr, White Sugar
1.25 cup, Wheat flour - White, all-purpose, enriched, bleached
    2.25 tsp, Yeast - Baker's, active dry
    0.50 tsp, Garlic Salt

I also add sprinklings of red pepper flakes, onion powder, rosemary, and parsley as I want.
