What would you do differently if today, you were at goal?

I was thinking this today, and I'm not really sure what I'd do differently. What about you?

I would just go into maintenance and I would still workout EVERY day, just like I am now!! Exercise is the only way to get the weight off and to keep it off!! You can't expect to get at your goal and go back to your old ways....otherwise, you'll be back in the same spot as you are now.

That's a very good question. I would like to say that I wouldn't do anything differently but the truth is I think I'd have more confidence to do more things to stay at goal and healthy. Also, I'd be more confident about running, socializing, shopping, etc...

Probably I would be wearing my size 5/6 pants to work today. Besides that, nothing different. Everything else the same. I might have shook my butt a little more. Besides that, everything the same. Oh No.... Since Maridinger is going running, guess I'll go Ice Skating to see how much higher I can jump. Besides that, everything the same.

SO IF YOU ALWAYS DO WHAT YOU ALWAYS DID, THEN YOU WILL ALWAYS GET WHAT YOU ALWAYS GOT. Or something like that.

Make tougher goal, run to the gym workout run back. Enjoy the sun in shorts and top. Or be on beach somewhere.

Nothing different. Well, I would put on my new swimsuit and gloat a little. But that won't take up too much time.

I was just thinking something along these lines earlier. 10 yrs ago I had no worries about weight and didn't work out. If I could go back I would have treated my body better while it was still young and adaptable. I wouldn't have smoked, drank and I would have worked out. I still would have ate the same...with more moderation in place. AND MOST IMPORTANT, I would have been confident in my own body! Makes me sick to think of how shy and hard on myself I was...Learn to love your body at every stage!

    How you doin'?

I'd enjoy the extra calories I get from eating at maintenance. I'd eat supper at The Keg and enjoy myself a great goat cheese and pecan steak, yam fries, and a dessert. If I also got a flatter stomach, I'd be wearing some much smaller jeans.

Just for the helluvit, I checked my MFP diary from two years ago today, when I was *almost* to my goal.

What's different? Not much! I ran and walked about 5 miles two years ago. I ran and walked about 5 miles today. I ate a little over 1800 calories then. I'm not logging my food today, but it's probably in the range of about 2000 or so.

The world doesn't change to unicorns and rainbows when you hit your goal. It's just as much work.

When I hit goal weight, I changed my goals to body recomposition. When I reach my body recomp goal, I will probably try to hit a new powerlifting goal. And so on.

I would have had a glass of wine with dinner. Then get up and do five miles in the morning, as usual.

Buy a bikini, then maintain the weight/shape.

If I were at goal right now.... I would sign up for a 5K! And I would buy new clothes. And I would sign up for dance classes again and go dancing at least once a week. And I would lift weights 3 times a week. And I might try hot yoga once a week for a while and see if I liked it. And I would go camping this summer and I would be able to handle hiking and everything. And I would still track my foods for a while but I would try to learn to eat intuitively. And I would wear a skirt and buy sleeveless blouses. And I would run at least once a week for the sheer joy of it! :flowerforyou:
