I need serious help, I'm out of control and feel lost. I have not been to the gym or eaten healthy in months. I feel old and went from 7 days a week at gym to nothing.
I'm afraid to get my weight but at the doctors last month I was 275, in Feb I was 245.
I would think by my pants that I am at 285

You can either get back on track by going cold turkey or building up small changes over the course of several weeks. You'll have to decide which is better for you.0

It happens to everyone at times, not to make your dilemma less frustrating. The only answer is to get up, and get back on track. That really is the only answer. You did it before, you can do it again.0

I went from 160lbs to 204, haven't worked out in almost 6 years... I just woke up one morning tired on not being able to walk the dog because I would get out of breath so fast! We then bought a boat, and I couldn't comfortably have fun... So October 8, I began to work out, I am down 6lbs. My mile was originally 47 MINUTES! I was at 20:08 minutes this morning. I take a picture of my treadmill every morning, and post it on facebook. If I have people watching me, and I know friends and family will ask how my workout is going.. I am more apt to get out of bed in the morning and go to the gym rather than sleep in, and lounge all day. Being a nurse, I do run a lot, but that doesn't mean I don't feel like I could have a heart attack at any moment... But SLOWLY! It will get better! I walk out smiling every time I beat my time! I am still struggling with eating healthy, but I will get there!!! Good Luck!!!!0

I've certainly had periods where I've let things go and my weight has crept back up. It's a very standard pattern for almost everyone. You need to want to make a change before you can make it happen. You have to want the benefits of a healthy lifestyle enough to give up eating whatever you want and being sedentary. Sometimes it helps to make a "Pros and Cons" list. On one side, list the reasons to get serious about losing weight and on the other list the reasons you don't want to do it. Hopefully, it'll help make things clear for you and amp up your motivation.0

If you're struggling, one small change at a time adds up. SOMETHING is better than nothing, even if it's small. One extra veggie, ten feet further of walking, five push ups...
