foot peddler/stationary bike

Winter weather will be upon us soon, and I know I wont get out as much as I'd like so I'm looking into options for cardio at home. I don't have room to put big equipment so I was looking at a foot peddler. Does anyone know if you would burn about the same abount of calories with that, as you would with a stationary bike?
