Way to rock it, congrats ! So, do you have the runners bug now ? Are you going to sign up for another race ? I did one race, got hooked and haven't stopped since0

That's a great race report. I could feel it as you described the different stages of the race. Congratulations on a great finish and here's to many more to come. :-)0

Way to go, what an awesome accomplishment!! You took the bull by the horns and succeeded. YaY you!! :drinker:0

I also ran my first 5k yesterday!! Wasn't it amazing?!? The adrenaline was amazing and every time we ran past cheering onlookers i got goosebumps! My husband ran with me and he pushed our 15mth old in his stroller, when we got near the finish line we held hands and ran across the finish as a family. To think that just 6 short weeks ago i couldn't run more then 90 seconds without having to stop, its amazing! Ok, didn't mean to hijack your thread, just know how you feel. Congratulations on the first of many amazing races.0

Last Tuesday night I walked (and even ran a bit) my first 5K. Never ever thought I would do such a thing! I finished in 1:07:50. Which I thought was pretty good for me. The last 10 minutes were done in the midst of a wicked thunderstorm and serious downpour, but with the finish line in sight, I just couldn't quit.
I'm even thinking about doing another one.0 -
That's awesome!!! You sound like you are a runner now! Keep it up!! I weighed the same back when I started running exactly 1 year ago!! Keep running, it made the weight just fall right off!0

Oh you give me hope! I have recently decided to try running & have signed up for a 5K in July. I'm kinda freaking out that I am not going to be able to run it. I would love any helps/ideas/suggestions you have to throw my way! I too am 220lbs, 5'10 and totally not a runner!0
