Gentle greetings MFP friends!

After 6 months of hard work and dedication to using this website I have ran a total of 241.3 miles, burned 39,422 calories (I won't mention how many I have consumed :embarassed: ), lost a total of 31.5 pounds and 6.5 inches off my waistline which has resulted in me being 2 sizes smaller where clothing is concerned. I have not worn a size five since I was in my 20's!
I know this won't win me any medals but it's not too shabby for an old lady.

Just thought I would share...If I can do this...YOU can do this!

Best of all, I have met some truly wonderful people here...the world is a nice place after all. At least this little corner of it is.
Have a great weekend!
:drinker:

    :flowerforyou: Happy Anniversary to you.

Hard work does pay off. I hope that mine is also a success story.

    Enjoy your accomplishments xx

  • Congrats on so much weight lost! And even more than that, kudos for sticking with it... speaking as someone who's left and come back a few times!

Congratulations. I haven't been on this site for quite six months but I have seriously dedicated myself to losing weight and being happier for that long. Bumpy road but I've lost about 25 pounds (which a lot of the time I feel like I haven't lost much at all).
Funny, I didn't even realize I had really lost that much til I read your post and did some self reflection. Thanks for posting this for the encouragement and the reminder that after putting in the extra effort the small things do add up.

You have just inspired me. I tried on a pair of pants this morning, knowing full well they wouldn't fit comfortably. After some dancing around, I did get them done up, but was frustrated for myself for gaining the weight that made it hard to put them on in the first place. I've been on here a lot longer than 6 months with bouncing weight. But you have indeed inspired me this morning and I am newly resolved to get this weight off. I kept making excuses it was because I was in my 30s. You have given me no more excuses. Thank you for posting. Congratulations on all your wonderful success. You're right, not shabby even a little bit.

Wow - that was a great 'Halfaversary' as Tiara puts it!!!

You've done amazingly well J and I'm sooo happy so hear all the results and achievements! - One day you can tell me how you logged all the miles..

Indeed, there are a lot of great people on this site to help you along, make you laugh and share a joke and kick ar@e if necessary, but straight back at ya, ...YOU are a wonderful support and inspiration to your friends.

Quite soon, it will be mid-year for everyone in so I must say your Report Card at this stage is an A+.... It's a good idea for another post for when the month draws to an end to see how folks are faring.. have you copyrighted it?

    Many Congratulations! :flowerforyou:
