Is it possible to get a trainer....

for just one session? I just want to make sure my form is correct but I can't really afford to join a gym. I am mostly doing body weight strength training and some light weights so far. I HAVE been watching videos but I can see the benefit of a trainer.

Yeah, a lot of trainers work independent of gyms. Just be upfront and explain that you just want to come in for one session to learn proper form. (It would help if you had a list of exercises you wanted their help with). Some trainers might not be interested in working with you for just one session, but I'd bet you can find someone.

This is correct. At my gym I was able to chose how often to see my personal trainer, they did say some people will just hire for a couple of sessions just to learn the basics. Most see theirs 1 - 3 times a week, I can't afford it and see mine twice a month, and my gym has no issue with that. Let them know what you are looking for, and you should be able to work something out.

Yes but she will not be going into a gym probably. I think you'll have to contact a trainer and either go to his/her home gym or have a daily pass/trial set up at the gym your trainer has a membership to.

Yes, some trainers will do a single session, but keep in mind that it may take 2 or 3 sessions to get through the basics - especially if you have any muscle imbalances affecting your form which need fixing (common, especially with older folks).
Also, try to do a follow-up session a month later, to ensure you still have good form after progressing to heavier weight. Squatting with 10 pounds might be easy on day 1, but will you still have good form when you're up to 50+ pounds and struggling on your last rep? Maybe, maybe not.

Feel free to bring a list of exercises, but expect that the trainer may show you better exercises for your goal.
