Not sure how to measure food.

In the interest of being accurate I have started weighing as well as measuring my food. I can't decide if the weight I log should be from cooked or from uncooked state. Meat really loses a lot of volume when it cooks. Pasta really gains a lot of volume when it cooks. Are there rules about this?

I usually just weigh the frozen meat. As for pasta, it usually says on the nutritional information, for instance, 50g (dry) = 350 calories0

Unless otherwise specified the weight listed on a nutrition label will be for the uncooked weight. It's okay to weigh/log your food after cooking as long as you make sure you're choosing an accurate entry from the database (ie don't choose a grilled entry if you boiled it, etc )0
