You know, I never really understood why everyone went on about how good water was for weight loss, when frankly i just found it to be a bother when needing to pee every 5 minutes.
But then a few days ago i decided to really up the water, to minimum 8 glasses a day.
Wow
2 days later my stomach was a hell of a lot flatter, (probably because I have stopped retaining fluid) and i felt more awake, fuller for longer, and was able to push more during work outs.

Water is awesome!

I had the same thought. Water, yuck! I am a truckdriver, and cannot afford to pull over and pee every 5-10 minutes. But, I had such a high sodium intake before starting here I had so much retention sometimes it hurt to bend my fingers. Soooooo, I started the water push and WOW, did it help. I believe that is what helped me shred the first 15lbs in 2 weeks. Now, I find myself drinking 80-100oz a day, and yes, I feel more awake, fuller longer and able to work out longer. Also, my fingers no longer hurt, and my ring size has dropped a whole size. So, bottom's up! Here's to WATER!! keep up the great work!
  • Unfortunately, with the job I have, there's no where to use the bathroom. I deliver mail...and I have one convenience on my whole route, so water is not an option. There are those porta-potties, but I try not to use those except for emergencies. In the summer I'll drink water like no bodies business, but in the winter...no way. And I can really tell a difference when I don't drink it in the winter. Sometimes I wish I had a different job, but I love it so much. Plus once I get out on the route, I have no one to tell me what to do, I'm on my own.

Thanks for the post, I have never subscribed to the water thing, even though so many people on here swear by it.

it is just as important to drink water in the winter because the extra warmth of clothing can cause dehydration equal to summer
