In my experiences, it can be as long as 3 days and as little as a few hours.
Sodium causes a water retention that will last for a few days ... up to 5 days. Speed this up by drinking lots of fluid.
Low fiber and bulk intake causes a slower throughput in the lower intestine, again 2-3 days.
High fiber can cause a reaction as early as the next morning. There are colon treatments (such as when prepping for a colonoscopy) that happens within a few hours.0 -
LOL Reminds me of Golden Girls. They are at the kitchen table eating. Dorothy is glad her date is tomorrow so the fat won't show since it takes a few days. Rose asks where it goes in the meantime and Dorothy replies to Connecticut, how do I know where it goes?0

Sodium hits me right away, and I agree, can last a few days. Chinese food so I know to drink lots of water to flush it out.0

I'd say 1-7.0
