Eating back calories?

Alright, I'm confused. I tend to go to the gym after I've eaten dinner. So today, I had all of my calories, and then went to the gym. I came back and put my calories from my Polar FT4 into the exercise diary, and now it's telling me to eat 1000 more calories. Are you supposed to? I'm lost. Thanks in advance!

MFP automatically deducts a deficiency to allow you to lose weight. Eating back your calories is okay, as long as you don't go too much over your allotment for the day...0
