Several months or a year ago, my BMI was 19.3 i think so I must have weighed about 57-60kg.
Now my BMI is about 17.1 (today).

From weighing around 57kg-60kg last year, I weighed myself earlier this year - perhaps in May or June or July and I weighed about 53 or 54kg. So I had unintentionally lost some weight. Then for some reason, in July/August I decided to do the 5:2 diet (stupid, i know, i didn't need to diet) - i only did it for a few weeks (maybe 4 or 5) and this is when I went down to maybe 52.3kg lowest, but average 52.5 i guess.

I had also started jogging during this time (actually, probably after I stopped the diet) but that was mainly to try and get fit, although i only kept it up for about 3 or 4 weeks. I stopped weighing myself as soon as i stopped the diet because obviously it was highly likely for me to put weight on. Then I decided to weigh myself out of curiousity about a week ago, and surprisingly I actually weighed a tiny bit less - 52.2kg. Then today, a few days later I weigh 51.9kg.

I have used this site before (i have another account) and people say to build muscle, so I created a list of exercises and I have done this twice now, and i will try and continue with that.
The reason why i'm posting this is because i obviously unintentionally lost a few kg earlier in the year, and I feel like I was always eating a normal amount during this time (and not exercising at all haha). And now i feel like i am eating a normal amount, but why didn't i put weight on after stopping the diet?

The other thing is that I don't really want to put weight on, although I probably should. My mum recently noticed me looking thinner and she has mentioned it multiple times since, saying i look too thin and i need to eat more to put weight on - part of me thinks 'oh, i don't want to look too thin, so i should put some weight on' but then ill think 'but how do i know where that weight will go, it could make me look worse'... but then another part of me thinks that i look fine now, i like the way i look so i shouldn't put any weight on. It's strange because in my mirror at home, to me, I look a normal weight and like i could lose some weight from my thighs or something... but sometimes i catch a glimpse of myself in mirrors whilst out, or in changing room mirrors, and I look much thinner than i do in my mirror at home. What's that all about haha? Lighting? Angle? Distance from mirror?

Anyway, i dont really know what im asking here but i just wrote everything out anyway.
Anyone got any comments on this?

Wow, thats really skinny mate. I am 5'8, as you can see in my main photo and I am skinny at 137 pounds....You should eat more, at least 1500calories a day, or 1800 to maintain, if you want muscle you must eat even more to provide support for growth for your muscles, so 2000 calories a day. Don't be afraid to eat. And the mirror thing, yeh, we all look normal up close, until we back up from it or are far away we see ourselves more as a whole from far away, just the perception.... kinda cool eh.... anyways, My opinion is you are way too skinny, your BMI is similar to that of a female bodybuilder, usually their body fat is 14%, an that is even low, since woman naturally have more fat because of their boobies... I'd say eat more (so might aswell gain muscle too) and get your bmi up to 20. Even then you will still be really slim mate!!! <3

Highly recommend you go see a doctor, even if you don't think you have ED. Once you drop below 17, it's typical to start getting psychological effects and it's a hundred times harder to restore weight and be healthy again.

I initially lost weight unintentionally because of a health condition, but I developed anorexia about the time I hit a bmi of 16. I was in complete denial that I had an ED and refused to see an ED specialist for the longest time. Big mistake.

And a bmi of 17.1 is not healthy. Please choose recovery!

Bodybuilders do not have underweight BMIs! Is is beyond me how you can get things so absurdly wrong in this area. Bodybuilders have a low BF%, not an underweight BMI.
