Just wondering if there are any other people out there with a gastric band, wouldn't mind chatting about what you guys are eating and how many calories per day you are able to get in. I just started eating solids and am now trying to get the best food I can into my diet.

I am.
Just a warning...you'll find quite a bit of negative comments about weight loss surgery on this site.
As I'm sure your docs have told you, focus on getting protein at every meal. Good sources are greek yogurt, cottage cheese, and of course, meat (including chicken, fish, other seafood). Nuts and cheese are good too, but they have less protein than the others. Until you're fully recovered from the surgery and find your "sweet spot" as far as fills, etc., you're going to have to experiment with what foods work well for you. And careful...you *can* "cheat" the band and overeat! Six months after my surgery I started to slip and gained about 15lbs. Fortunately I was working with a therapist who helped me nip that in the bud and keep going in the right direction. Feel free to friend me and send me a private message if you want. I'm happy to share my experiences.
