I'm 5'11 205 lbs (was 265). 2lbs a week weight loss set me at 1310 calories a day. i ate 5 times today and burned 400 cal. exercising. buy the time I had my work out completed and drank my after workout shake it was 8 pm and i still had 360 calories i could eat (because I added my workout calls). should I eat more of them before bed or not???? if i don't, i worry about being in "starvation mode" and storing instead of burning.
now i know i could have eaten more earlier in the day but I didn't know I was gonna burn 400 working out and that I would have that to eat..

simply search. "eating back exercise calories".
several well explained threads.
"search" is blue word atop this thread.0 -
Most people eat back half their exercise calories, as MFP overestimates them.0

Timing of meals is not an issue unless you have a medical condition. Eating after 8 won't be an issue but if you weigh in the morning you will have a little higher weight due to food and water.
ETA and forget that starvation mode voodoo.0
