30 Day Shred Level Progression

I just finished Level 1 Day 7. I'm certainly feeling stronger and can tell my stamina is increasing, but it is definitely still tough to work through and I'm mostly following Anita (modified moves). I have yet to be able to do a normal pushup, although I'm getting through the first set of push-ups (on my kneees) without stopping. I was wondering what y'all's thoughts are on continuing to do Level 1 until I'm able to accomplish normal push-ups or should I move on to Level 2 after the 10th day. Has anyone done a slower progression before? I'm just worried I won't be strong enough to do Level 2 well. Thanks in advance.

I'm doing 30 days of level 1, 30 of level 2 and 30 of level 3! I decided that I rather get super strong and toned and get the most out of each level instead of compromising the moves and sort of going through it in a blah-trying to keep up kinda way. That downside is the repetition, but I am starting to consider playing my own music instead of the DVD sound now that I know the routine so well.

And, with regard to the pushups---I started with a struggle and now I do solid push-ups and at least 10-15 (real ones) in a row!

I have not done level 2, so I really can't say. I would possibly try level 2, if you feel like it is too much, do level one a couple more days. Push-ups are HARD, and take a long time to get used to, don't slow the rest of your progress because your upper body is slower to catch up. That is just how it is being a woman, push-ups don't come easy.

I have done 30ds twice -- I have also done ri30 and 6 week 6 pack. I can do 2 pushups -- that's it. I do two and finish them out doing modified versions. I wouldn't worry about it. If that is the only modification you are doing, level up at the end of 10 days. If you are doing more than 50% modified, stay a couple extra days. Jillian has said the 30 days was a marketing ploy anyway.

Thanks for the responses! I sort of just sustained a tailbone injury and I'm having to modify a few more things, so I think I might stick to each level for two weeks. BUT I did 30 knee pushups today. Pretty proud as I haven't been able to do that in YEARS...or maybe ever?
