I use the treadmill because a delicate flower such as myself wasn't made for such nippy weather.

don't know where you live Undecided but it has been too cold too do as much walking/jogging here. In a few days they are calling for a bit warmer. I can handle that..Only got in 1 mile on sunday....
Gonna try some exercise Bike later today If I can. I've been a bit under the weather with cough/sore throat/not much sleep...

Normally I'd have 2-3 times as many cycling miles, but I've really been slacking off on the bike. It has been a bit chilly; I had to dig out my winter tights and wool t-shirt for one recent run!0 -
lol bwogilivie I know the feeling..It has been extremely cold here and most abnormal for this time of year. We are 25- 30 degrees lower (daytime) than normal. grrrrrrrrrr

Thank you for replying undecided! I do have a treadmill and do walk it some but mostly in the really cold days. Only reason I have not past week is I have been under the weather so most of my walking has been inside a few stores or a slow walk outside on the warmer days.... I will do better when this sore throat and coughing goes away...grrrrrrrr

Hello, jeanniewes, I hope you're feeling better. Just do what you can, you don't want to get sicker. I once had a sore throat so bad, it sounded like I had about four frogs stuck in my throat. It was no fun at all, so just take care of yourself.

Today 5 miles. I have no idea how many miles this month but ive been walking 2/2/ 4 2/2/7 2/2/9 2/2/5 miles alternatively and started banish fat boost metabolism.0

I am inspired and motivated by seeing you guys log your successes with this challenge. Maybe I'll join the December challenge. It can be challenging to stay outdoors during the cold weather.... How do you guys manage that? Just bundle up and brave the cold? (I guess your body would naturally heat up and break a sweat if you walk / bike / jog even if it's cold outside?)0

I am so HAPPY so many have joined me. We're not perfect and stuff happens. It does not matter if you join in the beginning or later. It is that you jump in and do the best you can. I am behing because of the cold and having a sore throat has not helped...THANK YOU Undecided. I did get out today as it was in the fifties BUT I bundled up good and took it nice and slow. No running with the dogs...lol...but we did our best....I also got in a bit of moving, packing, taking stuff out so that gave me a bit of mileage and it was a semi work out as well as the dog walk...

thedietpilot... As for ME I bundle up. In all honesty IF it is not at least 46 degrees and sunny I dont walk outside. IF it is cold and extremely windy I dont walk outside. However one year I remember my neighbor driving by and stopped. She said "I'll give you this you sure are dedicated." There was snow on the ground but in the fourties and melting. I had on a sweat shirt, heavy sweat jacket, hoodie and something over my nose and mouth. One could only see my eyes...lol...YES IF you walk very fast or jog you can actually sweat under all those clothes....lol.... WELCOME AND JUST DO YOUR BEST!0

Jeanniewes, you're fantastic walking in the cold with a sore throat. I actually prefer walking/jogging outside as well, but it's late in the evening/early in the morning when I usually workout. That's why I purchased a gym membership with 24 hr access.

ATUALLY the sore throat is gone. I still have a cough but it is mostly at night. I am still not sleeping well. It is extremely windy today and rain. I will NOT walk outside today. I guess it's gonna be a rest day unless I get the energy up too ride the exercise bike. I am not up too the faster pace of my Treadmill yet.....Today I just feel quite tired...
EDIT: AND I meant too say that I would have too travel an hour away too go too a gym. It is outside, exercise Bike, Treadmill for me. YES I do prefer outside best..I love Nature...0 -

I did manage a 30 minute moderate effort exercise Bike Ride. That gave me 6 miles and 135 calories too minus from my day.... I rarely ever take a 'rest day' but in the past week my exercise has been a lot lower than normally. Too me those were semi-rest days...
