Hi Everyone,
Was wondering if it's bad/good to eat back the calories you earn while working out? My assumption is that if I'm trying to lose, I shouldn't eat them. Thanks for any help!

I've seen a lot of people recommend eating back half of those calories. Many people overestimate what they are actually burning and if you eat only half then it is a built in safety.0

Myfitnesdpal creates a deficit that does not include exercise.
So if you never ever moved but stayed within your calories, you would still lose weight.
When you exercise you create a bigger deficit and this can mean sometimes you are not eating enough to sustain your lifestyle unless you eat them back.
My rule is this:
If it is a calorie burn set by my fitbit I eat 3/4 back because of how accurate it is.
If it is set by mfp, I eat 1/2 back because of how exaggerated the calorie burn is.0
