Are you looking for rubber flooring or thin mats or heavy mats or what? What are you actually going to be doing and what specifically are you looking to protect yourself from?
  • I'm going to be doing moderate to high impact aerobics, yoga, and weight conditioning. I just wasn't sure if I should put something between myself and the concrete.....

Probably doesn't matter all that much. I put down 3/4" rubber matting to protect the floor from the weights, myself. Cheapest place I could find was Tractor Supply Co, cost me about $600 to do a 20x12 room myself.
  • Thanks for the help - that's what I've heard so far - tractor supply seams to be the place to go :-)

horse mats. I don't know if they are the same thing, but they are about indestructable as mentioned above. They are NOT cushiony enough for me to yoga, though, without a yoga mat.
  • I had heard that horse mats were the way to go - I'm looking for some now - I actually have a yoga mat already that I use when I do my videos anyway so that would be fine ....
