I have been going swimming 2 or 3 times for about 4 weeks now.
I have gone from 30 lengths to 70 lengths (25m pool).
I just wondered is swimming is both a cardiovascular and resistance exercise or just cardiovascular??

It is cardio by most standards but just like elliptical has an element of resistance added to it. Swimming is a great workout It works the core and all muscle groups as well as easy on the joints. Keep going and enjoy Remember when you need a break you cans witch to kickboard for some laps and work you legs more. Don't forget go both on stomach and back to work different muscles0

I have just been doing breast stroke up until now. I wanted to improve slowly.
I was going to start mixing it up with different strokes next week
