I've read a lot of different thing so I was just wondering, Will eating healthy fats like nuts, natural peanut butter, salmon, etc. keep me from getting 6 pack abs? I read you should lower your fat macros to about 20%. Mine are currently 30%. Should I adjust that too?

No. Your abs are there already and will appear when you get rid of the layer of fat hiding them. It is not necessary to reduce the fat content of your diet to achieve that.

    This.

I increased the fat content on dinners at my house and my SO, who has been trying to get more definition in his abdominal region, is seeing improvement.

Only reducing your body fat will help your abs show themselves.

30% calories from fat is probably ideal, there is no reason to lower it unless you want to. If you want six pack abs just continue to eat plenty of protein (1g per pound LBM) and stick to a calorie deficit.

depends how much of them you eat. If you're eating so much of them that they prevent you from hitting your protein macro and keep you from staying within/under your total calorie goal, then yes they will. Otherwise no.

30% is a fine starting point.

No, and "unhealthy" fats won't prevent you from getting abs either.

Only not eating at a deficit will keep you from that.

If abs is your goal, overall calories is the biggest determinator. How you parse your calorie allotment is secondary to that particular goal. But what you eat overall and in overall macro/micro nutrient values are a different story
