Hello everyone!
My name is Bailey, and I'm restarting my weight loss journey for the 30273502735th time now on MFP. I have tried many times to be consistent with my tracking and exercising with no luck, but now my life has just lined up pretty perfectly to allow me to no longer have an excuse to quit. Where I used to work crazy retail hours, I now have a beautifully stable full time position with set hours. Where I used to be tempted by the treats my parents would buy when I had to crash at their place for over a year, I am now living with my boyfriend of seven years, who is my rock and my support system, and who supports us keeping our cabinets free of temptations. Where I never had a space to work out at home before, I now have all the space I need and then some.
I started my journey in 2011 at 203 pounds, feeling very fat and very much in pain with a case of bursitis in both hips, making exercise and everyday movement really hard for me. I started doing yoga and it absolutely changed my life, helping me to lose ten pounds in about three months. I eventually started to change my diet as well, making better choices and tracking my foods, and in the following several months I was down to 180 pounds, 23 pounds down from where I started.
Then, when I lost my job after the company I worked for closed, everything stopped and spiraled downward. I gained back 20 pounds and have never really dropped weight again since - that was in May 2013, and since then I've started and stopped several new programs. Turbo Jam is the only program I've ever had success with and enjoyed, which I did in conjunction with yoga for several months.
My starting weight is about 200 pounds, and my goal weight is around 140 - we will see when I get closer to that weight where I want to stop! I'm going to be tracking every day as well as working out 6 days a week - I'll be doing Turbo Jam three days and Chalean Extreme three days to mix cardio and strength training for some awesome results.
I'm really excited to be restarting my journey at an amazing point in my life. If you're looking for another friend that's got a new dedication to her journey, please feel free to add me for support and motivation.
